Our depot managers are industry experts who understand your challenges and speak your language, whilst saving you money on some of the best products available on the market!Working Hours:40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm.Main purpose of the role:All drivers are responsible for daily vehicle checks which will include water, tyres, oil, fuel, etcLoad and unload trucks with productEnsure load is correctly stored and secured prior to departureAll tachograph laws are observed and adhered to at all times where applicableNo driver is to exceed the national speed limits permittedEnsure cleanliness of vehicle inside and outside of vehicleAll drivers to observe and adhere to Highway Code at all timesThe use of mobile phones whilst driving is strictly prohibited unless a hands-free kit is installedAlways display a mature and professional attitude when dealing directly with customersAny queries regarding cash collection must be directed to the accounts dept prior to unloading deliveryAll drivers are responsible for ensuring goods are checked against despatch notes whilst unloadingAll vehicle faults are to be reported as soon as possibleAssist depot manager when required with ad hoc daily activities to ensure the smooth running of the depotSupport the Control of Goods In/OutAssist with the Day-to-Day housekeeping of warehouse and skip areas.DutiesSafely and efficiently transport goods and products to designated locationsLoad and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of itemsPlan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveriesCommunicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or concernsComplete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle inspection reportsPerform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safe operationAdhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehiclesRequirementsValid UK Driving Licence with a clean driving recordPrevious experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial driving roleAbility to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and dispatchersFamiliarity with warehouse operations and proceduresAbility to drive various types of vehicles, including vans and trucksStrong physical stamina for heavy lifting and loading/unloading cargoExcellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlinesAttention to detail for accurate completion of paperwork and documentationEmployee Benefits:Enhanced holiday allowance 33 days per year!Christmas New Year company shut downCompany Pension SchemeEmployee / store discountEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFree on-site parkingIf you feel you match the above position, please apply by clicking below - We look forward to reviewing your application.TPBN1_UKTJ
