Class 2 DriverRefrigerated Truck Collection & DeliveryLocation: WarringtonEmployer: Venatu Automotive (Permanent Role)Venatu Automotive are recruiting a permanent Class 2 Driver (C) on behalf of our client, with full support provided by Sally Maxwell throughout the recruitment process, through to the offer stage.Role OverviewYou will be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of refrigerated trucks and cold storage containers to customer sites, depots, warehouses, and industrial locations. This is a reactive transport environment that requires flexibility, professionalism, and a strong focus on customer service and safety.You will use modern digital systems to complete all delivery and collection records, ensuring accurate tracking, POD completion, and real-time communication.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate Vans, Class 2 (Cat C) vehicles as requiredCollect and deliver refrigerated rental equipment to customer locationsComplete electronic PODs using company mobile devices (signatures, photos, tracking)Carry out vehicle checks, defect reporting, and pre-delivery/collection inspectionsEnsure all equipment is clean, roadworthy, and presented to company standardsSecure loads in compliance with transport and health & safety regulationsCommunicate effectively with customers and transport planners regarding schedules and site accessAdapt to changing workloads in a fast-paced, reactive environmentMaintain full compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and WTD regulationsDeliver excellent customer service while representing the business professionallyWorking HoursMonday to Friday (no weekends)Start: 07:30Finish: 17:00Guaranteed 40 hours per weekAdditional hours available (paid at standard rate)No nights out requiredPay & Benefits£14.00 per hour£29,120 annual salary (based on 40 hours/week)Overtime paid at standard rate25 days holiday + 8 bank holidaysAdditional birthday day off (after 6 months)Total: 33 days annual leaveOpportunity to increase earnings through additional hoursRequirementsValid Class 2 (C) licenceIn-date CPC qualificationValid Digital Tachograph CardMaximum 3 penalty points (no DR or IN endorsements)Over 21 years old (insurance requirement)Strong understanding of driver hours & tachograph rulesComfortable using smartphones/mobile appsReliable, punctual, and safety-consciousStrong communication and customer service skillsDesirable ExperiencePrevious Class 2 driving experienceExperience with vehicle, trailer, or container deliveries/collectionsFamiliarity with electronic POD systems or driver appsKnowledge of refrigerated equipment advantageousAbout Venatu Automotive:Your privacy matters to us.
