Commercial Manager

BAM UK & Ireland are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Commercial Manager to work within the ASTI Framework You will be required to work on a major energy infrastructure development in Inverness-shire.Making Possible As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, Regional Commercial Manager, project management and other associated disciplines and enhance the profile of commercial servicesBe responsible for staff matters which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, staff allocationProvide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documentsEnsure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the businessProvide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representativesProvide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions / reviewsTake part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategyEnsure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and company tied costs. Obtain cash-flow information and present all reportsProvide input to dispute identification and managementProduce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer's representativesAgree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accountsMaintain contact with supply chain partners through contract vetting and input to contract documentationCarry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentationWhat do you bring to the role? Successful experience as a Commercial Manager working with multiple projects and with a minimum of 4 years in this roleJoint Venture experienceMember of a Professional Institution or working towards application of the ICES, or similarOpen collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around youEducated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification (preferred but not essential)Whats in it for you?
