Established in 1974, the company employs 35 people and operates around 30 CNC machines, generating an annual turnover of approximately £3 million.With decades of engineering expertise and a strong reputation for quality and precision, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their growing team in Cleckheaton.The RoleThis role involves manufacturing high-precision components to customer drawings and specifications, as well as other duties such as:Setting and operating Fanuc-based CNC lathesEditing Fanuc programsConducting in-process inspection of your own workUsing conventional measuring equipment and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)Working to tight tolerances in a high-precision environmentSelecting and setting cutting toolsMachining small batch and one-off componentsReading and interpreting engineering drawingsMaintaining high standards of housekeeping and qualityWorking collaboratively as part of the production teamRequirementsEssentialPrevious experience as a CNC TurnerExperience setting and operating Fanuc-based CNC lathesAbility to read and work from engineering drawings with minimal supervisionExperience using micrometres, callipers, gauges and other measuring equipmentKnowledge of machining processes, speeds and feeds for a variety of materialsExperience working to tight tolerancesStrong attention to detail and quality standardsAbility to use initiative and work independentlyA positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a teamDesirableExperience programming Fanuc CNC lathesExperience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)Knowledge of multiple machining disciplinesWhats In It For You24 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysCompany pensionStatutory Sick Pay (SSP)Tooling providedSafety boots and overalls providedEarly finish every FridayOpportunity to work for a long-established and successful engineering businessTraining and development opportunitiesSupportive team environment with extensive engineering knowledgeStable, full-time position within a growing companyWhats next?
