Temporary PCB Assembly Technician (Part-Time) Location: Blandford, DorsetHours: Initially 8 hours per week (flexible)Contract: Temporary (with potential for a permanent position)About the Role We are looking for an experienced and reliable PCB Assembly Technician to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis.The role will initially involve 8 hours per week , with flexibility for these hours to be worked either as one full day or spread across multiple days , depending on mutual agreement.For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to move into a permanent role of up to 16 hours per week from September , subject to business requirements.Key Responsibilities Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) to a high standard.Carry out through-hole and surface-mount component assembly.Perform hand soldering, rework and repairs as required.Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.Interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs) and work instructions.Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and timescales.Essential Requirements Previous PCB assembly experience is essential.Good hand soldering skills.Ability to read and follow assembly documentation and drawings.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Good manual dexterity and practical skills.Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.Desirable Skills Experience with surface-mount (SMT) assembly and rework.Basic electronic testing or fault-finding experience.What We Offer Flexible working arrangements.Friendly and supportive working environment.Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.Opportunity to progress to a permanent part-time position of up to 16 hours per week from September for the right candidate.If you have PCB assembly experience and are looking for a flexible part-time role with the potential for longer-term opportunities, we'd be pleased to hear from you.Please apply now or give us a call on 01258 458 695!TPBN1_UKTJ
