They specialise in complex, technically challenging schemes within live and occupied environments, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern construction methods.This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys variety, technical projects, and working within a collaborative, supportive team.The Company Overview: This contractor operates across both public and private sectors, delivering refurbishment and construction projects within:Heritage & listed buildingsResidential & social housingCommercial office fit-out / refurbishmentEducationHealthcarePublic buildingsStructural repair & specialist remedial worksProjects typically range from £500k to £8m+, including complex refurbishment, restoration, structural alterations, and fit-out schemes across some of Londons most interesting buildings.The business is known for:High-quality project deliveryStrong repeat client relationshipsTechnical refurbishment expertiseCollaborative working cultureStable pipeline of secured workQuantity Surveyor Role Description: Reporting into the Senior Commercial team, you will take commercial responsibility for one or multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account.Responsibilities will include:Preparing cost plans, budgets and forecastsProcurement of subcontract packagesTender analysis and subcontract negotiationsManaging valuations and payment applicationsCost reporting and CVRsVariations, change control and compensation eventsManaging subcontractor accountsFinal account negotiation and agreementWorking closely with operational teams to maximise project profitabilitySupporting risk management and commercial strategyThis role offers exposure to interesting and technically challenging projects rather than repetitive new-build housing schemes.Quantity Surveyor Candidate Requirements: We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have experience working for a:Main contractorRefurbishment specialistFit-out contractorHeritage / restoration contractorSpecialist subcontractor (with strong commercial exposure)Ideal background:36+ years Quantity Surveying experienceGood understanding of JCT contractsRefurbishment or construction project experienceStrong commercial awarenessConfident communicator with subcontractors and clientsOrganised and proactive approachDegree qualified or equivalent preferred (not essential)Experience in refurbishment, heritage, live environment or structural repair projects would be highly advantageous.Why Join?
