Job Description

Recruit Build is working with a successful architectural and construction consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to its Huddersfield team.This is not a graduate-level position. Candidates must be RIBA Part 2 qualified and have at least four to five years practical experience working within an architectural practice or construction consultancy.You will join an established team of more than 20 architectural professionals, working on new-build housing, major refurbishment, regeneration and high-rise residential schemes across the UK.The position offers a similar level of responsibility to an Architectural Technologist role, alongside structured support towards completing Part 3.The Opportunity You will work across a range of RIBA stages, contributing to projects from planning and technical design through to construction and completion.Your role will include:Producing design drawings, technical information and presentation materialDeveloping planning and Building Regulations packagesProducing and coordinating drawings or models using Revit or AutoCADWorking closely with Architects, Architectural Technologists and external consultantsAttending design reviews and project meetingsSupporting site inspections, surveys and construction-stage reviewsResolving technical, design and coordination issuesManaging your own workload and contributing to project deadlinesDeveloping your knowledge of residential refurbishment, regeneration and high-rise projectsWhat Were Looking For To be considered, you must have:RIBA Part 2 qualificationAt least four to five years practical experience within an architectural practice or construction consultancyExperience contributing to live projects through the technical and delivery stagesGood construction knowledge and technical detailing abilityExperience using either Revit or AutoCADA strong architectural portfolioGood communication and organisational skillsThe confidence to manage your workload and work with limited supervisionPrevious experience working on high-rise residential projects would be preferable.Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, BIM processes and common data environments would also be beneficial.Support Towards Part 3 This role would particularly suit an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant who has developed strong practical and technical skills but has not yet completed Part 3.You will receive structured mentoring, relevant project experience and support towards professional qualification. Training, examination costs and relevant professional subscription fees can also be funded.Why Join?
