The Opportunity

\n


\n

Reporting into the finance team, the Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in analysing cost structures, monitoring financial performance, and providing valuable insights to support business decisions. Working closely with Operations, Stores, Logistics and Procurement, you'll identify opportunities to improve efficiencies while ensuring robust financial controls are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse manufacturing cost data and produce detailed reports to support business decisions.
  • \n
  • Monitor budgets, track financial performance, and investigate budget variances.
  • \n
  • Partner with Operations, Stores, Logistics and Procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • \n
  • Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets.
  • \n
  • Provide cost analysis to support new projects and business initiatives.
  • \n
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close activities.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
  • \n
  • Support inventory management through the cycle count programme and investigate stock variances.
  • \n

Candidate Profile

\n


\n
    \n
  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
  • \n
  • Experience within a manufacturing is essential.
  • \n
  • Previous experience in cost accounting or cost analysis is desirable.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience of financial modelling.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
  • \n
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • \n
  • ERP system experience would be advantageous.
  • \n
