Senior HGV Technician – Peterborough 💷 £50,000 - £60,000 per year 📈 Excellent career progression opportunities 🎓 Level 3 qualification required We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior HGV Technician to join a modern and expanding commercial vehicle workshop based in Peterborough. This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled technician who is looking not only for a strong salary, but also for genuine progression into supervisory, workshop control or management roles in the future. This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys diagnosing complex faults and wants to be part of a professional team with long-term career prospects. The role You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of a mixed fleet of heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities * Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults * Complete MOT preparation and compliance work * Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify complex issues * Ensure accurate completion of job cards and service records * Support junior technicians where required * Work closely with workshop control and parts teams to maintain productivity What we’re looking for * Level 3 qualification in HGV / Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential) * Proven experience as an HGV Technician * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability * Good understanding of commercial vehicle compliance standards * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * A professional and proactive attitude What’s on offer * 💰 £50,000 - £60,000 per year * Overtime opportunities available * Ongoing manufacturer and technical training * Modern workshop with up-to-date equipment * Stable, full-time permanent position * Clear career progression pathways * Supportive management team focused on development '57; Please note: Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
