Senior Procurement Manager

Robertson Bell
Slough, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

\n

This is not a role for someone looking to inherit a finished product. It's an opportunity to help shape a procurement function that is evolving into a more strategic, commercially focused service. You'll have the autonomy to make improvements, the support to implement change and the chance to leave a lasting impact on both the team and the wider organisation.

\n

The role

\n
    \n
  • Leading, developing and supporting a team of four Procurement Managers across a busy property services and maintenance portfolio.
  • \n
  • Driving the successful delivery of procurement projects, removing barriers and ensuring programmes continue to move forward.
  • \n
  • Providing strategic oversight of category planning, helping to prioritise and sequence procurement activity effectively.
  • \n
  • Ensuring procurement activity is compliant with the Procurement Act 2023 and wider public sector procurement legislation, whilst maintaining a commercial focus.
  • \n
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver value and influence decision making.
  • \n
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the procurement function, identifying opportunities to improve processes, commercial outcomes and ways of working.
  • \n
\n

The person

\n
    \n
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement legislation, including the Procurement Act 2023 and/or the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • \n
  • A commercial and strategic approach, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working and drive continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Experience of leading or developing procurement professionals, with the ability to motivate and support a high-performing team.
  • \n
  • The resilience and adaptability to succeed within an organisation going through significant transformation.
  • \n
\n

If you're motivated by solving problems, driving improvement and leading through change, we'd love to hear from you.
