Role: Deputy ManagerLocation: Preston and LeylandEarnings: Up to £41,500 per annumHours: average 39.2 per weekShift pattern: 5 week rolling rota: 2 days on, 3 days off, including sleep ins. In this role, you will inspire and guide a dedicated care team while ensuring young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential. You will lead by example, champion the voices of young people, and play an important part in maintaining high standards of care and compliance.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of two new specialist 2 bedded services across Preston and Leyland. The Leyland home will support young people with learning disabilities (LD), while the Preston home will support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will have the chance to help shape nurturing, therapeutic environments from the very beginning, playing a key role in building strong team cultures and delivering high quality care that enables young people to thrive.Key responsibilities include:Leading and inspiring a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding support to young peopleActing as the go to role model, mentor, and source of support for staff, encouraging professional development and best practiceChampioning young people as a key worker, listening to them, safeguarding their wellbeing, and supporting them to reach their full potentialContributing to care planning, audits, and processes that ensure the home remains Ofsted compliant and high performingCreating a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment where young people can grow, develop, and succeedDeputising for the Registered Manager when required and supporting the smooth and effective running of the homeThis is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about leadership, quality care, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.What we're looking for:NVQ Level 3/4 in Children & Young People (or equivalent)Experience in residential childcare, especially with emotional and behavioural needsConfidence supervising or leading a teamPlenty of resilience, empathy, and passion for empowering young peopleWhy Northridge?
