Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll learn how health and safety policies are implemented, how quality standards are monitored, and how compliance requirements are maintained across a national retail operation.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the administration of health, safety and quality processesMaintaining accurate records, reports and compliance documentationLogging and tracking incidents, accidents and near-miss reportsAssisting with investigations and follow-up actions where requiredSupporting the coordination of risk assessments and auditsMonitoring compliance-related activities and maintaining tracking systemsLiaising with stores, distribution centres and internal departments to obtain information and provide updatesAssisting with the preparation of health, safety and quality reportsSupporting awareness campaigns and colleague communications relating to health, safety and wellbeingLearning about legal requirements, company policies and industry best practiceProviding general administrative support to the Health, Safety and Quality teamWhat You'll NeedA positive attitude and willingness to learnStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to workGood communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational skillsConfidence using computers and learning new systemsA proactive and flexible approach to workGood problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to handle confidential information appropriatelyThe ability to work well as part of a teamAn interest in Health & Safety, Quality, Compliance or Business AdministrationQualificationsGood standard of English and MathsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (desirable but not essential)About Heron FoodsHeron Foods is part of the B&M Group and operates 340+ stores across the UK.
