Trainee Mould Machine Technician/OperatorLocation: PooleSalary: Starting from £12.71 per hour (with plenty of opportunities for progression as your skills develop)Hours of Work:Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pmFriday: 8:00am - 1:30pm37.5 hours per weekTrainee Production Mould Machine TechnicianLooking for a hands-on career where you can develop specialist engineering skills?We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical and technically minded individual to join our production team as a Trainee Production Mould Machine Technician.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how machinery works and is looking to build a long-term career within a specialist cable manufacturing company. Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for someone who is switched on, eager to learn and keen to develop valuable engineering and manufacturing skills.Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll learn how to set up and programme specialist moulding machines, maintain production equipment and help ensure our manufacturing processes run safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.What you'll be learningAs part of your training, you'll gain experience in:Setting up moulding machines ready for productionProgramming machinery for different productsServicing and maintaining production equipmentDiagnosing and repairing machine faultsSetting up and calibrating tooling and applicatorsReading and interpreting technical drawingsRecording maintenance work and machine repairsCarrying out preventative maintenanceSupporting continuous improvements in safety, quality and production efficiencyAssisting with product assembly when requiredDeveloping the skills to train production operators on routine machine servicingWhat we're looking forWe're looking for someone who is:Technically minded and enjoys learning how machinery worksPractical and hands-onA good problem solver with a logical approachOrganised and reliableEager to learn and develop new skillsAble to work well as part of a teamCommitted to working safely at all timesLooking for a long-term career rather than just another jobDesirable (but not essential)Engineering, mechanical or manufacturing qualificationPrevious manufacturing or production experienceExperience using hand toolsAbility to read technical drawingsFull training will be provided for the right candidate.What we offerStarting salary of £12.71 per hourFull training and ongoing developmentExcellent opportunity to build a long-term engineering careerSupportive and experienced teamRegular daytime working hours with an early finish every FridayStable employment within a well-established cable manufacturing businessIf you're motivated, enjoy working with your hands and are looking for a career where you can continually learn and develop, please submit an up to date cv.TPBN1_UKTJ
