£300 - £350 per day (umbrella)

Hybrid - 2 days a week on site, fully onsite during go-live stage

Are you passionate about payroll and looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project? Our client is seeking dedicated Payroll Support to join their team on a temporary basis for a 5-month contract.

\n

What You'll Do:

\n

As Payroll Support, you will be at the heart of the project. Your key responsibilities will include:

\n

  • Eliciting and Documenting Requirements: Gather and validate payroll business requirements, translating current processes into future designs with clear acceptance criteria.
  • \n
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Design, script, and execute UAT, including end-to-end parallel runs. Capture defects, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate fixes for go-live readiness.
  • \n
  • Data Migration Support: Contribute to the migration and reconciliation of employee data, ensuring thorough checks and maintaining audit trails.
  • \n
  • Process Mapping and Compliance: Assist in process mapping and documentation, ensuring adherence to HMRC requirements and GDPR policies.
  • \n
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams such as Payroll, Reward, and Finance, contributing to training materials and facilitating knowledge transfer.
  • \n
  • Cutover Planning and Hypercare: Support post-go-live activities, including KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

\n

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following essential skills and experience:

\n

\n

  • Payroll Knowledge: Solid in-house UK payroll expertise is a must, along with exceptional attention to detail and data quality.
  • \n
  • HMRC Compliance: Understanding of HMRC requirements, including RTI, FPS/EPS, Tax, NI, and taxable benefits.
  • \n
  • Excel Proficiency: Strong Excel skills with confidence in managing large datasets. Exposure to SuccessFactors EC Payroll is highly desirable.
  • \n
  • UAT Experience: Familiarity with UAT/test execution and defect management in a project environment.
  • \n
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
