Freight Forwarder

If you thrive in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment and enjoy delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.The RoleYou will be responsible for managing freight forwarding operations with a strong focus on customs clearance, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with customs regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete import customs entries accurately and efficiently.Handle customs clearance documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.Coordinate import and export shipments.Liaise with customers, hauliers, shipping lines, and customs authorities.Manage FCL and LCL shipments where applicable.Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.What We're Looking ForEssentialExtensive customs clearance experience within a freight forwarding environment.Proven experience completing import customs entries.Experience using customs software (ASM experience is preferred, although experience with other customs systems is welcome).Good working knowledge of CNS Destin8.Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.DesirableSea import freight forwarding experience.Export customs clearance experience.Knowledge of T1 Transit procedures.Experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments.What We OfferCompetitive salary of £29,000-£35,000, depending on experience.Monday to Friday working hours - 9:00am to 5:30pm.Permanent, full-time employment.A friendly, supportive working environment within a long-established family-owned business.Long-term career stability and the opportunity to be part of a knowledgeable and experienced team.TPBN1_UKTJ
