Your expertise and contributions will be highly valued within a company that truly prioritises its people.Rates of Pay PAYE: £19.69 per hour plus £3.06 per hour holiday payOvertime (after 37 hours and Saturdays) £29.54 per hour; Sundays £39.38 per hourUmbrella: £27.09 per hourOvertime (after 37 hours and Saturdays) £40.64 per hour; Sundays £54.04 per hourSuitable Backgrounds and Disciplines Coach buildingKitchen fittingSheet metal work and fabricationJoineryShop fittingSpecialist vehicle building, including commercial vehicle installationsKey Responsibilities Manufacture, assemble and build specialist projects using engineering drawings and design data to meet business and customer requirementsInstall rivets using pneumatic rivet gunsApply silicone and sealants using appropriate preparation methodsOperate battery-powered and electric drill gunsAssemble and join panels and components accuratelyTorque fastenings, apply torque markings, record data, and complete job travellersFettle using approved and calibrated toolsInspect components and record findings before passing work to the next stageTreat aluminium and steel panels with chemicals such as SicosealPerform drilling, reaming, and countersinking on aluminium, steel, wood, and PVC assembliesQualifications Essential:Experience in mechanical fitting or joiningPrevious experience in automotive or heavy industry is highly desirableExperience in vehicle body building, mechanical fitting, or a related trade is advantageousUnderstanding of assembly processes and techniquesCompetent skills developed through training and experience, with effective team communicationFamiliarity with a workshop environmentKnowledge of production methods and processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and associated design dataUnderstanding of planning methods and organisational skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsDesirable:Completed City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, Manufacturing or Assembly, or substantial on-the-job experienceUnderstanding of appraisals and performance development reviews (PDRs)Semi-skilled candidates with manufacturing or production experience will also be consideredAbout Marshall Land Systems Marshall Land Systems is a Canadian-owned global company with a distinguished heritage of British engineering excellence.
