Commercial Waste HGV Class 2 Driver Location: Plymstock, Plymouth (PL9) Job Type: Temporary Assignment Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: £15.56 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:30 Friday: 06:00 - 11:00 Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for your next opportunity? Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of Plymouth City Council for enthusiastic and reliable drivers to join their busy Commercial Waste Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a vital local authority service, helping to keep Plymouth clean while becoming part of a supportive and professional team. The Role As a member of the Commercial Waste Team, your responsibilities will include: Operating a range of vehicles, including 26-tonne, 12-tonne and 7.5-tonne waste collection vehicles Carrying out scheduled commercial and bulky waste collections across Plymouth Providing excellent customer service while maintaining high safety standards Supporting collection crews with loading duties when required Ensuring routes are completed efficiently and in line with service requirementsRequirements: A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Previous experience driving HGV vehicles Good knowledge of Plymouth and the surrounding areas A positive and flexible approach to work Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude Excellent reliability and attendanceAdditional Information All successful applicants must attend a mandatory induction and driving assessment Start dates will be confirmed upon successful completion of the assessment process Immediate starts are available for suitable candidates To find out more or apply, contact Emily at Pertemps on (phone number removed) or click "Apply Now" to submit your application today.
