Foundry Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Foundry Manager to lead our refining operations with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee the entire refining process, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and quality standards are maintained. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, and encourage a culture of excellence within the Foundry. As the Foundry Manager you will be required too : * Oversee the refining process for Copper(Charging, melting, refining, casting) * Monitoring of furnace temperatures & casting speeds * Troubleshooting any process/equipment issues to prevent production losses and minimise downtime * Liaise with maintenance team in order to plan preventative maintenance and any unplanned stoppages * Ensure that Health & Safety standards are met * Ensure compliance with Quality control procedures and work with Quality on product testing/certification * Manage and supervise a team of refinery operatives * Carry out performance reviews and managing performance issues * Planning and managing shift rotas * Ownership of the refinery KPIs and cost performance targets * Identifying training needs and supporting development Requirements: * Previous experience in a metals refining, casting or heavy industrial environment * A strong knowledge of copper refining/casting processes * Experience of working with hot/molten metals is required * Experience of the Copper Industry would be an advantage * Experience managing/leading a production team monitoring performance and people management * Experience managing other team leaders/supervisors (budget and KPI responsibility) * Experience in a manufacturing/foundry environment would be an advantage * Strong problem solving skills If you would be interested in the position of Foundry Manager please apply now and we will be in touch shortly
