Surface Preparation OperativeLocation: ReadingPay Rate: £13.00 - £13.50 per hourHours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pmContract: Temp to PermImmediate Start AvailableWe are currently recruiting for a Surface Preparation Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing business based in Reading.This is a hands-on role preparing metal components prior to the powder coating process. The successful candidate will be responsible for sanding, cleaning and preparing products to a high standard before they move through the next stage of production.The working environment can become very warm during peak periods, with temperatures reaching up to 35°C.Key ResponsibilitiesSanding and preparing metal components ready for powder coatingRemoving surface imperfections and defectsCleaning and degreasing components prior to processingMasking products where requiredCarrying out visual quality inspectionsUsing hand and power tools safely and effectivelyMaintaining a clean and organised work areaAdhering to all health and safety proceduresRequirementsPrevious experience within manufacturing, production, engineering, assembly or preparation work would be advantageousExperience using sanding equipment, grinders or hand tools is desirableGood attention to detail and quality standardsPhysically fit and comfortable working in a warm environmentFull UK driving licence and own transport essentialAbility to successfully pass a DBS checkReliable, punctual and hardworkingWhat We OfferImmediate start availableMonday to Friday working hoursTemp-to-perm opportunity£13.00 - £13.50 per hourFull training providedLong-term career prospects within a stable businessPlease note: Due to the nature of the work undertaken by the business, successful applicants will be required to undergo and pass a DBS check prior to commencing employment.If you are looking for a hands-on manufacturing role with long-term prospects, we would like to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
