Key Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of the director or charge person, the Cath Lab CVT will monitor various procedures, including diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe patient care while serving as a scrub assistant.
  • This role is classified as a PRN Day Shift position.
QualificationsEducation
  • Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is acceptable.
Certifications
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of hire).
  • OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of hire).
Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification is preferred.
  • If ARRT is not held, one of the following licenses or certifications is required:
    • Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license
    • OR Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license
    • OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
    • OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
  • Any of the above licenses or certifications must be obtained within 12 months of hire if a degree in the relevant fields is not held.
Additional Requirements
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • ACLS certification is also required.
