We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Contingent Physician Assistant to become part of our regional Neonatal Intensive Care team in Muskegon and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Position Overview

  • Job Type: Contingent (0.0 FTE)

  • Work Schedule: 25-hour or 8-hour shifts as required

  • Work Locations: Grand Rapids and Muskegon, Michigan

  • Specialization: Neonatal Physician Assistant with fellowship training in neonatology

  • Facility Information: Grand Rapids: 15-bed NICU Level III, Muskegon: 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery

  • On-Call Requirements: No on-call duties for APPs

Qualifications

  • PA with fellowship training in neonatology

  • APPs: Must be board certified in their specialty before starting

  • Valid Michigan medical license

  • DEA registration

  • ACLS/BLS certification (must be kept current)

Key Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Delivering direct patient care

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

  • Engaging in teaching and mentorship

  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR

  • Participating in quality improvement projects

  • Contributing to community health initiatives
