Job Title Bilingual Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care)

About the Role Medix is currently partnering with a premier outpatient healthcare network to recruit a compassionate and skilled Bilingual Nurse Practitioner (Spanish/English) to join a dedicated team in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, continuous primary care services to a diverse patient population ranging across all ages.

Compensation & Benefits Target Compensation: $70.65 to $74.10 per hour (equivalent to an annualized base salary range of $147,000 - $154,000+, depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain, review, and evaluate comprehensive patient medical and psychosocial histories.

  • Perform full physical examinations, risk-specific interim exams, and routine screening procedures (including Pap smears, GC cultures, Chlamydia tests, and wet preps).

  • Evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and referrals in accordance with established standards of care.

  • Provide continuous care and management for common and complex primary care clinical cases across all patient age groups.

  • Consult with collaborating physicians on clinical problems outside standard protocols or standing orders.

  • Interpret laboratory data, review and initial lab reports, and order appropriate follow-up testing as indicated.

  • Participate in patient education and counseling with an emphasis on preventive health, nutrition, and family planning.

  • Manage a daily patient volume target of approximately 18-24 patients per day.

  • Allocate dedicated time (approx. 3.5 hours per week) for on-site clinical administrative duties and charting.

Schedule & Location

  • Full-Time: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No weekends)

  • Location: On-site outpatient clinic setting in Brooklyn, NY

Required Qualifications

  • Current and active New York State (NYS) licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (or MD).

  • Bilingual Fluency: Native or professional fluency in both Spanish and English is required.

  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of 1 to 1.5+ years of post-graduate clinical experience as an NP/PA (2+ years preferred).

  • Patient Population: Demonstrated ability and willingness to see and treat patients of all ages within primary care or family medicine.
