ER Physician- Mason City, Iowa- $250/hour + & $100,000 bonus package
Job Description
Location: Our organization is a Level III Trauma Center located in a vibrant community with a population of approximately 30,000. We are the largest urban center in northern Iowa, situated just two hours from both Minneapolis and Des Moines.
About Our Facility- Annual visits: 35,000
- Full-service hospital featuring a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, CT/MRI capabilities, bedside ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room.
- Physician coverage: 42 hours per day.
- Tertiary center with over 300 physicians and specialists available to provide comprehensive care, including Trauma Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, GI, ENT, Pediatric Hospitalists, OBGYN, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Anesthesia, and Radiology.
- All patient transfers are managed internally.
- Single-site practice for convenience.
- Teaching opportunities available for residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students.
- Position Type: Hospital-employed role with a comprehensive benefits package valued at over $65,000.

Base Salary:
- $471,265 annually ($251/hour) for Day Shift
- $490,116 annually ($261.81/hour) for Night Shift
- Extra shift bonus: $276.92/hour (day); $301.09/hour (night)
- Recruitment bonus: $100,000
- Relocation assistance: Up to $15,000
- Full-time commitment: 1620 hours per year
- Annual CME allowance: $6,000
- Employer-covered liability insurance and tail coverage.
- Benefits commence on the first day of employment, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and short/long-term disability coverage.
- Retirement options: 403(b) plan with employer contributions and matching, plus an optional 457(b) deferred compensation plan.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (must achieve certification within three years of eligibility).
- Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency Program or Fellowship is required.
- H1B and J1 visa candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Graduation from an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school is mandatory.
- Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
- All offers are contingent upon successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screenings.
