Junior Engineering Geologist
Job Description
Location: LeedsSalary: £28,000 - £35,000 + Benefits
\nAn exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Engineering Geologist to join a well-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy based in Leeds. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial projects across the UK while developing your technical and site experience within a supportive team.
\nThe successful Assistant Engineering Geologist will split their time between site work and office-based reporting, gaining exposure to every stage of ground investigation projects.
\nThe Role:

- Supervising ground investigation works, including drilling rigs and trial pits. \n
- Logging soil and rock to current industry standards. \n
- Collecting soil, rock and groundwater samples. \n
- Carrying out in-situ testing and monitoring installations. \n
- Factual reporting and assisting with interpretative reports. \n
- Liaising with contractors and clients on site. \n
- Supporting geotechnical and geoenvironmental project delivery. \n
Requirements:

- MEng in Engineering Geology or a closely related discipline. \n
- Previous site investigation experience through employment or placements is desirable. \n
- Strong communication and report writing skills. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
- A willingness to work outdoors and travel to sites across the region. \n
- A positive attitude and eagerness to develop within the engineering geology sector. \n
