Finance Business PartnerSwansea Flexible WorkingThe OpportunityTSR Legal is delighted to be working with a leading law firm seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused Finance Business Partner.This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and legal teams, helping to drive financial performance, improve decision-making, and support the firm's continued growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, commercial analysis, and audit management, while acting as a trusted adviser across the business.The position would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical financial expertise with strategic commercial input and stakeholder engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the firmPartner with legal teams and department heads to provide meaningful financial insight and performance analysisAnalyse key financial and operational metrics, including utilisation, recovery rates, WIP, billing performance, and profitabilityProduce and present clear, actionable management information to senior stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to improve financial performance, efficiency, and profitabilitySupport pricing decisions and incentive scheme calculationsOversee the preparation of accurate and timely management accountsLead the annual statutory audit process and act as the primary contact for external auditorsEnsure robust financial controls, compliance, and audit readinessDrive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and business partnering activitiesFoster strong relationships between the finance function and operational teamsThe successful candidate will be a confident and credible finance professional with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and contribute to commercial decision-making.Essential RequirementsQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Minimum 23 years' post-qualification experiencePrevious experience within a professional services environmentStrong understanding of WIP, billing processes, and revenue recognitionDemonstrable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningStrong commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial data into practical business insightExperience working closely with senior stakeholders and leadership teamsKnowledge of financial controls, compliance, and audit processesAdvanced Excel and analytical skillsExperience leading or managing external audit processesProven ability to identify and implement process improvementsWhat's on Offer?Competitive salary and benefits packageHybrid and flexible working arrangementsGenerous annual leave entitlement plus bank holidaysProfessional development and career progression opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentAdditional employee benefits and wellbeing initiativesApplyFor a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please contact Rachel Phillips, Associate Director at TSR Legal : 02920 388100.TPBN1_UKTJ
