Production Manager Fixed Term ContractOffshore & Renewables, Manufacturing & EngineeringSkelmersdaleUp to £50,000A well-established manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager on a fixed-term basis to support the successful delivery of a key project within their operation.This role will take responsibility for leading production activities across the manufacturing unit, ensuring productivity, quality, safety and delivery targets are consistently achieved.Working closely with Engineering, Quality and HSEQ teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency while driving continuous improvement and best practice across production.ResponsibilitiesControl production resources to maximise productivity and material utilisation in line with production schedulesLead and manage production personnel to optimise individual and team performanceEnsure strict compliance with SOPs, health & safety procedures and quality standardsEnsure materials, equipment, consumables and services are available to meet production demandsWork closely with internal departments including HSEQ, Quality and Engineering to minimise delaysMaintain high standards of housekeeping across all production areasSupport improvements in productivity, quality and manufacturing processesProvide direction, coaching and training to production employeesConduct performance reviews and manage employee performance where requiredEnsure products are manufactured to customer specifications and quality expectationsEnsure production operations are adequately resourced to meet workload forecastsLead change initiatives and promote operational best practiceRequirementsPrevious experience within a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager positionStrong background within an engineering or manufacturing environmentProven experience leading teams within a fast-paced production settingGood understanding of HSEQ and quality standardsStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to drive performance and continuous improvement initiativesPackageCompetitive salary dependent on experience810 month fixed-term contractAnnual 15% company bonusOpportunity to support a major manufacturing project within a growing businessIf you have the required skills for this position or would like to learn more then please get in touch ASAP with an up-to-date copy of your CV.
