Job Description

Nottingham Girls High School is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Officer to deliver a professional, efficient and people-focused HR service to our school community.As part of the Girls Day School Trust (GDST), you will work closely with our Cluster HR Manager, HR colleagues across four schools and the GDST HR Business Partner. You will support the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on recruitment, payroll, employee records and maintaining an accurate Single Central Register to meet safeguarding and ISI compliance requirements.You will be a trusted point of contact for staff, managers and senior leaders, providing clear advice, handling confidential matters with discretion and ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently.We are looking for someone with strong HR and administrative experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, confidence using HR systems and meticulous attention to detail. Experience in education, recruitment compliance and maintaining the Single Central Register would be an advantage. A CIPD Level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirable.You will be calm, professional and confident working independently, with a strong understanding of safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality.
