Newell Brands is focused on delighting consumers by lighting up everyday moments.Job description Maintenance EngineerLocation: Lichfield, Birmingham area, UKReports to: Facilities LeadContract type: Permanent, day shift (8:00-16:30)Your Role & Team in a NutshellAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining both our packaging machinery and the wider warehouse infrastructure at our Distribution & Packaging Centre in Fradley Park (Lichfield). Youll ensure the smooth operation of five high-performance packaging machines while also supporting the upkeep of the buildings systems and facilities. Youll be part of a dedicated facilities team, supporting operations through proactive maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and involvement in project work. Youll collaborate closely with Facilities Manager, internal teams and external contractors.We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.Your Key Responsibilities:Maintain and troubleshoot five packaging machines, ensuring minimal downtimeCarry out general building maintenance across the warehouse, including HVAC, lighting, and safety systemsDiagnose and resolve technical issues across electrical and mechanical systemsSupport project work and continuous improvement initiativesWork at height (up to 18 meters) using MEWP equipmentLiaise with external contractors and internal operational partnersOptimise and implement preventive maintenance schedules using CMMSProvide technical support and training to operational staffChampion Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance with company policiesWhat Youll Need Minimum:Completed an electrically biased engineering apprenticeship5+ years post-apprenticeship experience in a similar roleExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and material handling equipmentAC/DC Drives experienceYour advantage:IPAF MEWP licence17th or 18th Edition Electrical RegulationsPLC fault-finding (Siemens or Allen Bradley)Experience with 6-axis robots and production line installationsKnowledge of Legionella, HVAC systems, and CMMSProactive team player and problem solverWhat You Gain Newell Brands has a strong footprint in the EMEA region, with several thousand employees spread over many corporate offices and manufacturing facilities.
