Senior Quantity Surveyor - Main ContractorLocation - Mid & North Wales / North West (Hybrid)Salary/Package - £65,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance + Performance BonusAbout the CompanyOur client is a growing regional main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across Mid and North Wales, the West Midlands, and the North West. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Taking full commercial ownership of projects from contract award through to final accountProducing accurate CVRs, forecasts, cash flow reports, and commercial reportingProcuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accountsPreparing, submitting, and negotiating interim valuations, variations, and final accountsManaging project costs, commercial risks, and identifying opportunities to maximise profitabilityAdministering contracts, primarily under JCT forms of contract (NEC experience advantageous)Working closely with Contracts Managers and site teams to improve project performanceBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultantsReporting directly to the Commercial Manager and Directors, providing commercial insight across your projectsThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or be a strong Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a senior roleExperience within a Main Contractor environmentStrong commercial experience across refurbishment, maintenance, and new build projectsExcellent knowledge of CVRs, forecasting, cost control, and commercial reportingExperience procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accountsStrong working knowledge of JCT contracts (NEC knowledge would be advantageous)Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skillsDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial ManagementFull UK Driving LicenceMRICS or MCIOB status, or a desire to work towards professional accreditation, would be advantageousWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £65,000 - £70,000Car allowancePerformance-related bonusHybrid working with a mix of site, office, and home workingSupport towards MRICS and MCIOB professional accreditationOpportunity to join a growing and financially secure regional main contractorGenuine autonomy and direct access to senior decision-makersLong-term career progression within a business with a strong pipeline of secured workCollaborative and supportive working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
