Quantity SurveyorCala Consulting are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for their award-winning client. The company d eliver bespoke projects for a wide range of clients throughout the UK and Ireland; from blue chip big names to smaller independent companies.Purpose of job:The role will entail supporting the QS department in a range of activities as the company continue to provide a high standard service for our blue chip and independent clients. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of small works, major refurbishment and new-build contracts with our client portfolio working throughout the UK & ROI, primarily within the Retail and Hospitality and Heritage Sectors.The main duties and responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor include:Setting of project budgets and allowancesValuations and agreement of variationsPreparation of CVRs and projected profitability reportsIdentification of labour, material requirements, sourcing and obtaining quotationsLiaising with our purchasing departmentPreparation and agreement of final accounts expediently after works completionSupervising and training junior members of staff if requiredPayment of subcontractors and specialist suppliersQualifications & experience:BSc in Quantity Surveying (or simi lar)Minimum 5 years post qualification experience working as a Quantity SurveyorCommercial awareness and the ability to independently deal with complex projectsStrong communication skills with the ability to negotiate with subcontractors, clients and client representativesSalary and BenefitsSalary Negotiable pending experienceCompetitive Pension schemePrivate Medical Insurance Scheme (after one years service)Additional holidays pending length of service.Death in Service benefitTeam Building ActivitiesTraining and development opportunitiesTPBN1_UKTJ
