DK Recruitment are working with a global Manufacturer who are looking to offer an experienced and qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician a new career and join their successful team based in Plymouth.Our client can offer a passionate, committed and rewarding culture for you to grow and thrive within your role.Main Duties:Attend to electro-mechanicalfaults,diagnosingandrepairingin a timely manner to keep up with production targets.ConductPlanned Preventative Maintenance(PPM) andrefurbishoffline machinery and ancillaries.Ensures all manufacturing equipment is set up and produces product according to established Quality Control specifications and standards. Maintaining acceptable quality and waste levels.Ensures that any statutory legislation and/or quality system requirements are adhered to regarding process changes and equipment modification.Continually supervises in-process quality, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.Ensures that all existing and new equipment and processes are operated in compliance with all current Quality Control, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.Works closely with Operational, Engineering and Quality Control personnel to actively pursue and promote continuous improvement; SSU, 5S, CIAS, Near Miss, etc.Ensure all equipment is maintained as assigned, and in accordance with requirements detailed on the appropriate schedule/plan or work instruction. Ensuring the minimisation of downtime within planned costs for repair and sparesTo support engineering in theinstallationandvalidationof new equipment and technology and ensure a smooth and acceptable transfer to production.Become actively involved and take part in regular team meetings and participate in project teams as required.Ensures accurate and timely entry of data on to SAP.Operational responsibilities include covering breaks, operating production machinery, assembling product, performing quality checks and pallet release duties.Education & Experience:Qualification in electrical or Mechanical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds, HND etc.) or a time served apprenticeship.Experience in a high volume, highly automated manufacturing environment desirable.Experience in maintenance and fault finding.Methodical in your approach, organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.Benefits:Matched contribution Pension scheme up to 10% of salaryLife assurance and critical illness coverPrivate Medical InsuranceShare save scheme matched up to £150/monthReward & recognition scheme linked to Health and Safety and Continuous ImprovementEmployee Assistance Program, supporting physical, mental and financial wellbeingFlexible benefits including cycle to work schemeSubsidized canteenFree car parking24 days holiday (25 after 5 years)TPBN1_UKTJ
