CAD Technician

We are seeking a CAD Technician to support our engineering team with technical drawings and models using SolidWorks. This is an entry-to-intermediate level role focused on drawing production and documentation, working under the direction of senior engineers.This is an ideal role for a graduate seeking a career with a world renowned leader in their industry.ResponsibilitiesProduce and update 2D drawings and 3D models from sketches, instructions, or existing designsMaintain and organise the drawing register, ensuring revisions are logged and accessibleApply company drawing standards and title block conventions consistentlyAssist engineers with basic design changes and minor tooling drawingsSupport creation of simple plant/layout drawings under supervisionPrepare drawing packs and documentation for internal reviewsCheck drawings for basic errors, dimensioning, and completeness before issueQualificationsWorking knowledge of SolidWorks (or similar with a willingness to learn)HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent practical experience; graduates or apprentices welcomeGood attention to detail and accuracyBasic understanding of engineering drawing standards (BS 8888 or similar)Able to work well within a small team and follow direction from senior engineersLocationTeeside BasedDue to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area.
