As our Housing and Property Lead, youll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, youll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!What you'll doMaking sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, youll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.Where there is a need, youll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, youll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales.Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.Why join usThis is more than a job, its a place where you feel valued. We cant offer a CoS for this role.You haveExperience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management dutiesKnow-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleaguesThe ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.A can do positive attitude, youre proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partnersThe practical bitsWork pattern will be between 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday - ThursdayBased at our service in Sunderland,there is an expectation you offer housing management support across other services in the area if requiredAble to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.Stronger togetherWe do our best work when were ourselves.
