About the Role
\nCoventry City Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its dedicated Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, multi-agency environment where your expertise will directly contribute to safeguarding vulnerable children and young people.
\nThe Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) brings together key professionals from across partner agencies to facilitate effective information sharing, analysis, and decision-making. The team plays a vital role in ensuring children and young people receive the right support at the right time through robust safeguarding processes and collaborative working.
\nThis is not a case-holding role. Instead, you will be responsible for managing incoming contacts and information to support timely safeguarding decisions.
\nKey responsibilities

- Managing contact records and referrals. \n
- Processing and coordinating information requests. \n
- Undertaking probation checks and information gathering. \n
- Participating in and contributing to strategy discussions. \n
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to support effective safeguarding decision-making. \n
- Ensuring accurate record keeping and timely processing of information. \n
Skills/Experience
\n- \n
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration. \n
- Experience working within Children's Services. \n
- Strong understanding of safeguarding processes and thresholds. \n
- Ability to analyse information and make informed recommendations. \n
- Excellent communication and partnership-working skills. \n
- Previous MASH experience is desirable. \n
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. \n
Working Arrangements

- Full office attendance required during the induction and training period. \n
- Following successful induction and once established within the team, candidates may work from home up to 2 days per week. \n
- The team expects workers to attend the office regularly to support collaboration and service delivery. \n
