Screen Printer Location: Birmingham Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Pay: From £12.71 per hour About the Role We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Screen Printer to join our production team. The successful candidate will produce high-quality printed products using manual and semi-automatic screen printing equipment, ensuring all work meets customer specifications, quality standards and production deadlines. This role involves printing a wide range of industrial products, including nameplates, labels, decals, signs and bespoke printed components for customers across sectors such as aerospace, automotive and manufacturing. You will work with a variety of metal and plastic substrates while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Screen Printing * Set up manual and semi-automatic screen printing machines. * Prepare screens, inks and substrates for production. * Mix inks to customer specifications and colour requirements. * Print onto a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, brass, polycarbonate, polyester, vinyl and other plastic substrates. * Ensure accurate registration and colour consistency. * Carry out print runs efficiently while maintaining quality standards. * Complete first-off inspections before production begins. Skills & Experience Essential * Previous experience in screen printing or print production. * Manufacturing experience. * Strong attention to detail. * Excellent colour recognition. * Ability to read production paperwork and work instructions. * Good manual dexterity. * Ability to work accurately under pressure. Desirable * Experience operating semi-automatic screen printing machines. * Industrial screen printing experience. * Experience printing onto metal and plastic substrates. * Knowledge of quality management systems. * Experience within aerospace or manufacturing environments. * Understanding of colour matching. * Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Working Hours * Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm * Friday: 7:30am – 11:30am Additional hours may be required to meet business demands
