This role would suit someone with experience in vehicle mechanics, auto electrics, or adaptation installations who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service.From day one, you'll receive ongoing training and support to develop your knowledge across our full range of products and vehicle adaptation systems.What We OfferCompany vehicle, tools, and equipment providedCompetitive salary with overtime opportunitiesOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to join a growing and evolving business23 days holiday plus bank holidaysHoliday purchase scheme (option to purchase up to 3 additional days)Salary sacrifice car leasing schemeEmployer contribution pension scheme from Day 1Life Insurance CoverProfit Related PayEmployee Assistance ProgrammeThe RoleAs a Mobile Adaptation Installer, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality installations, servicing, and repairs of vehicle adaptations at customer homes, dealerships, and partner locations across the region.This is a field-based role requiring excellent technical ability, strong organisation, and a professional, customer-focused approach.Key ResponsibilitiesInstalling a wide range of vehicle adaptations including: Hand controls, Left foot accelerators, Steering aids, Hoists and access equipment & Transfer plates and seating solutions.Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults on adaptation systemsCarrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance work on installed equipmentReading and interpreting technical instructions and wiring diagramsCompleting all job sheets, installation records, and supporting documentation accuratelyProviding product demonstrations and handovers to customers following installationLiaising professionally with customers, dealerships, and internal teamsManaging your daily workload and appointments effectivelyEnsuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standardsMaintaining high standards of health & safety when working on-site and at customer premisesAbout YouWe're looking for someone who is technically capable, highly organised, and passionate about delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.Essential Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in vehicle adaptation installation OR a strong background in: Vehicle Mechanics & Auto Electrics.Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to read and interpret technical instructions and wiring diagramsUnderstanding of working on electric vehicles (EVs)Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 pointsExcellent time management and ability to work independentlyComfortable working under pressure and managing regional travelWillingness to stay away overnight when requiredDesirableExperience working with mobility or accessibility equipmentKnowledge of Motability Scheme processesPrevious experience in a field-based/mobile engineering roleBasic welding and fabrication skillsPersonal AttributesCustomer-focused with a professional and empathetic approachStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityReliable, self-motivated, and proactiveCalm under pressure with strong problem-solving abilityTeam player with excellent communication skillsApply TodayIf you're looking for a rewarding engineering role where your work has a genuine impact on people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.No agencies please.TPBN1_UKTJ
