System EngineerContract: 12 MonthsBased: Broad OakHourly rate: £41.87 PAYE or £56.44 Umbrella inside IR35Onsite: onsite Monday – FridayFull time – 37 hours per weekAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a System Administrator to support the Lightning Systems Integration Facility (LSIF) located at the Maritime Integration & Support Centre (MISC) on Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth.The facility supports the testing and integration of the F-35 Lightning II aircraft within the UK military infrastructure, providing a highly technical and secure environment for system integration activities.This role will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and security of the LSIF IT systems, ensuring they are configured and available to support ongoing testing and integration activities. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, engineering teams and users to ensure systems remain operational and aligned with project requirements.Skills:Windows Server administration including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Disk Management, WSUS patching, and Hyper-V virtualisation.Experience monitoring system logs and security tools such as SolarWinds, Kiwi Syslog, Splunk, and Trellix ePO.Knowledge of network infrastructure including Cisco/FortiGate devices, LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and firewalls.Ability to install and configure servers, workstations, and network hardware, including cable management to MoD standards.Experience designing and integrating IT systems, including environments with different security classifications.Understanding of security and compliance frameworks such as ITAR, JSP 440, and JSP 480.Familiarity with ITIL processes and general IT troubleshooting.The JobAdministration and maintenance of hardware, software and network infrastructureImplementing changes and updates to servers, systems and networksPreparing systems to support testing activities and project requirementsSupporting security and export control requirements within the facilityAssisting with planning, execution and reporting of test eventsSupporting long-term facility and infrastructure planningManaging procurement and configuration control of LSIF hardware and softwareSubject to: BPSS and SC clearance and Subject to ITARIf you would like to be considered for this role please don't hesitate to click apply or call Levi Jackson on 0161 694 9192 for more information.About BAE:BAE Systems is a leading global defence, aerospace, and security company.
