Building Surveyor | Bristol | Full Time | £28,000£36,000 per annumFounded in 2019, our client is a Bristol-based Property and Construction Consultancy, providing Building Surveying, Project Management and Sustainable Development Solutions to a range of private and public sector clients.They specialise in delivering expert advice, managing construction projects, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for their clients, with a focus on the people who deliver these outcomes and the relationships they build in doing so. With a focus on professionalism, integrity, and client satisfaction, they aim to be a trusted partner in the construction industry across the South West and UK-wide.The RoleWorking from the Bristol office in our building surveying team, you will be involved in providing specialist advice across the full spectrum of building surveying services such as: managing building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, project management/contract administration, party wall advice, new build, renovations and maintenance works.Working across all sectors, you will be involved with a variety of high-profile clients across the South West and nationwide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting directors in delivering business objectivesPositively engaging with customers and developing, growing, and maintaining customer relationshipsDelivering high-quality services and ensuring building surveying deliverables meet customer requirementsManaging projects in accordance with business proceduresManaging building surveying commissions including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects from feasibility through to handover and post-completion reviewsPreparing and managing planned maintenance programmesQuality monitoring of construction projectsPlanning service delivery in conjunction with the DirectorProviding professional advice to clients and project team membersEnsuring quantitative and financial information is checked before issueRemaining within role remit and seeking approval for additional responsibilities where requiredProducing and presenting to customersManaging service delivery for profitAdvising directors of project issues, particularly those impacting PI insuranceIdentifying new business development opportunities and driving growthRequirementsEssentialGraduate or Assistant Building Surveyor with 13 years consultancy experienceIdeally working towards APCStrong communication and client relationship skillsAbility to manage workload and multiple project instructionsStrong attention to detail and professional approachMinimum 1 year of experience required (ideally 23 years preferred)DesirableProgress towards APC with structured training underwayExposure to a broad range of surveying disciplines including dilapidations, party wall matters, and project managementExperience managing or supporting small projects independentlyInterest in business development and client growth activitiesWhats In It For You£28,000£36,000 salary (dependent on experience)APC training and structured professional developmentRICS professional subscription fees covered (including APC costs)Flexible working arrangementsContributory pension schemeDiscretionary bonus schemeExposure to a broad range of high-profile projects across the UKClear progression opportunities within a growing teamSupportive, development-focused environmentWhats next?
