Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the CNC Turner / Machinist include:CNC Lathe Operation: Programme, set and operate CNC lathes to produce orders on time and to required quality standardsPrecision Machining: Machine exotic materials, including 625 and 718, using FANUC or Siemens control systemsEngineering Drawings: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to support accurate component manufactureProgramme Setting: Set or modify existing CNC programmes to meet production and quality requirementsInspection and Measurement: Use measuring equipment and basic CMM to check components and maintain quality standardsTooling Improvements: Implement minor tooling changes and suggest major tooling improvements where requiredProcess Improvement: Suggest production and machining improvements to the engineering departmentMachine Loading: Load varying size components into machines safely and competentlyTeam Support: Assist and instruct others while working effectively alone and as part of a teamCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALCompetent machinist with experience in a similar CNC turning, CNC machining or precision engineering roleAbility to understand complex engineering drawingsExperience setting or modifying existing CNC programmesExperience using measuring equipment and basic CMMStrong work ethic and willingness to follow management direction to achieve resultsExcellent timekeeping and communication skillsEnthusiasm, desire to learn and ability to work alone and as part of a teamDESIRABLENVQ 3 or equivalent in Engineering preferredBENEFITSMonthly Profit-sharing bonus scheme32 days holiday per yearEnhanced pensionLevel 1 Westfield Health CareRegular overtimePPE providedModern working environment with onsite parkingHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
