Electronics Engineer | Nottingham | Full Time | £38,000£43,000 per annumAre you an Electronics Engineer looking for the opportunity to take ownership of next-generation smart textile technology from concept through to production?Our client is a technology-focused startup developing proprietary smart textile technology for the fast-growing health and wellbeing sector. Guided by the belief that the textile is the sensor, the company works with large global organisations to turn ambitious ideas into products with real-world impact.The RoleYou will take ownership of electronics development from early concepts through to production, reporting directly to the Head of Technology. You will work across the full product lifecycle, helping bring innovative smart textile products to market, including smart mattresses and seat toppers for falls and pressure-ulcer prevention, as well as smart socks for fall prevention.This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer who enjoys practical problem-solving, high-quality hardware design and making a visible contribution within an innovative and collaborative business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end electronics design, from initial concepts through to production-ready solutionsCreate schematics and PCB layouts and develop embedded firmwareBuild, debug and test prototypes and proof-of-concept systemsEvaluate new technologies and support the ongoing development of existing productsSupport product testing, validation and the transition of products into marketWork closely with the technical team and wider business colleaguesRequirementsEssentialDegree or Masters degree in a relevant subject2+ years experience in electronics engineeringExperience with Embedded C/C++Experience with PCB designStrong understanding of analogue and digital electronicsDesirableExperience with BLE/USB technologies, low-power design and product developmentKnowledge of 3D printing and Fusion360/EagleCADUnderstanding of EMC and Design for Manufacture (DFM)Whats In It For You25 days annual leave plus 8 public/bank holidays (33 days in total)12% of the company is employee-owned and will remain soShare options available after two years of employmentWhats next?
