Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly / Electro-Mechanical Integration)Location: BoltonSector: Defence / Advanced ManufacturingAbout the roleWere looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support the assembly and integration of complex electro-mechanical products , working across unit build through to full system integration.Youll be hands-on in a highly regulated, low-volume manufacturing environment, translating engineering designs into clear, repeatable manufacturing processes and supporting production to deliver right-first-time builds across multiple programmes.This role sits at the intersection of engineering, production and quality , offering exposure to technically challenging products and structured manufacturing practices.What youll be doingSupporting electro-mechanical and electronic sub-assembly through to full system buildsTroubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues on the shop floorDeveloping, commissioning and validating tooling and fixtures to support productionSupporting industrial validation activities, including FMEA and First Article InspectionTranslating design intent into clear Manufacturing Instructions and build documentationMaintaining route cards and supporting rework and configuration changesSupporting Non-Conformance activity, including investigation and resolution using SAPWhat were looking forEngineering backgroundYou must meet one of the following qualification pathways:Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)ANDElectrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 4 academic qualification (HNC, diploma, etc.)ANDElectrical or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achievedORDegree in a relevant Engineering subject.Equivalent or combined qualifications gained through industry experience will also be considered.Skills & experienceExperience producing clear Manufacturing or Build Instructions for operatorsBackground supporting electro-mechanical or electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environmentHands-on knowledge of assembly processes, ideally involving small or miniature mechanismsExperience working in a structured or regulated manufacturing environmentStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, production and qualityComfortable working to defined processes, procedures and configuration controlWhat happens now?If your application meets the initial selection criteria, a member of our talent acquisition team will contact you via email to arrange a structured screening call.
