Join us as a Senior Maintenance Engineer in Sittingbourne FloPlast are a leading manufacturer of plastic building and plumbing systems to the UK construction sector. Specialising in Roofline products (such as Rainwater systems and PVC-UE Cellular Foam Fascia, Soffit & Cladding systems), as well as an extensive range of Waste, Soil, Underground Drainage and Hot & Cold plumbing systems. FloPlast is a division of Wienerberger UK & IrelandAbout the roleReporting to the Injection Moulding Tooling & Maintenance Manager, you will lead a small team of Maintenance Engineers to oversee and participate in maintenance duties across the department.This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm with a daily paid break of 30 minutes (divided into one 10-minute break and one 20-minute break).Key Responsibilities and DutiesSupervision and Team Management: Lead a small team of injection moulding maintenance engineers focussed on machine availability, PPM and consistent output of the Production department.Provide direction, support, and mentorship to the injection moulding maintenance engineers.Machinery Maintenance: Ensure all maintenance work is undertaken in accordance with Company and Factory control procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.Typical maintenance would be carried out on the following but not limited to: injection moulding machines, conveyor systems, material systems, granulators and ancillary moulding equipment (temperature control units, small pneumatic presses)Use a methodical approach to Identify and address technical issues.Communicate with external technical support teams to rectify issues.Coordinate and record all maintenance activities through use of the Agility system.Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.Support and be involved with relevant project activities and capital expenditure in the department.About YouYoull be an apprentice served or professionally qualified engineer/technician, with a strong technical background in both mechanical & electrical engineering, who is willing to lead by example.Youll have/be:Apprentice served or professionally qualified engineer/technician.Strong technical background in both mechanical & electrical engineering.Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to addressing challengesSelf-disciplined with the ability to set and maintain high standards for self and others.Self-motivated to identify opportunities and deliver improvements against agreed objectives and timescales.Strong organisational and record keeping skills.Ability to communicate clearly - both verbally and writtenIT literate.Preferred Experience and Knowledge:Supervisory experience in an engineering/maintenance department.Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques.Experience of Injection MouldingAbout our BenefitsWeekly pay.Salary £44,000 to £47,000 (depending on experience)Christmas Bonus (subject to company performance.)Training and opportunities to grow your career with us.Company pension.SIP ability to become a shareholder via our Share Scheme.Benefit Platform offering health, wellbeing and money saving opportunities.About us wienerberger UK & Ireland is building for whats next - delivering full building envelope solutions for the built environment.
