You will work closely with customers, plant managers and drivers to ensure orders are accurately processed and deliveries run efficiently.Taking and processing customer orders accurately and efficientlyProviding customers with a professional and helpful servicePricing orders where requiredLiaising with plant managers to coordinate production and deliveriesCommunicating with drivers regarding delivery schedules and requirementsTracking delivery slots, orders and updates throughout the dayManaging changes to orders and delivery requirementsKeeping customers informed of delivery progress and any changesWorking as part of a busy team to ensure a smooth and efficient serviceThe ideal candidate will have:Experience in a customer service, logistics, transport or delivery-focused environmentExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple orders and prioritiesA confident and professional telephone mannerGood IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quicklyExperience working with deliveries, logistics, transport or customer service would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
