We also deliver Functional Skills and a range of language examinations. Our focus is on providing a professional, efficient, and supportive examination service while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and candidate experience.A-Team Academy is seeking an experienced and highly organised Exams Officer to take full responsibility for the administration and management of all examinations.Please note: applications will only be considered from candidates who have previously worked as an Exams Officer within a school, college, or educational setting. This is an essential requirement and candidates without direct Exams Officer experience will not be shortlisted.The RoleThe Exams Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination, administration, and compliance of all internal and external examinations. The successful candidate will ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.This is a key position within the Academy and requires someone who can work independently, manage competing deadlines, and confidently oversee the entire examinations process.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of examination administration from entry through to results and certificationPrepare examination timetables, seating plans, and invigilation schedulesLiaise with awarding bodies and ensure full compliance with JCQ regulationsCoordinate access arrangements and special consideration processesRecruit, train, and manage examination invigilatorsMaintain accurate and secure examination records and data systemsProvide guidance to students and staff regarding examination proceduresEnsure all examination materials are stored and handled securelySupport post-results services, including reviews and appeals where requiredEssential RequirementsCandidates must meet all of the following criteria:Previous experience working as an Exams Officer in a school, college, or private educational settingStrong working knowledge of JCQ regulations and examination board requirementsExperience managing examination entries, timetables, and results processesExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to work calmly and accurately under pressureStrong IT and data management skillsHigh levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentialityApplications from candidates without direct Exams Officer experience will not be considered.Why Join A-Team Academy?Supportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunity to take ownership of a critical operational functionFlexible term-time-only working patternMeaningful role supporting student achievement and successProfessional and committed leadership teamIf you have proven experience as an Exams Officer and are looking for a rewarding term-time role, we would be pleased to hear from you.
