Role: CDM Consultant/ Principal DesignerLocation: Fully Remote Projects Across London & the Home CountiesSector: CDM/ Principal Designer ConsultancySalary:£45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus Scheme + Excellent Benefits Package We Recruit Group is proud to be partnering with a highly respected, independent CDM/ Principal Designer consultancy that is entering an exciting phase of growth for 2026.With a strong reputation built over the last six years, this business has become a trusted partner across the property and construction sector, delivering expert CDM and Principal Designer services on projects ranging from £300k to £500m.They are now looking to appoint an experienced CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects across London and the Home Counties.This is a fully remote position, offering genuine flexibility and autonomy, with monthly team meet-ups at their London HQ, giving you the best of both worlds, freedom to work independently, without losing the collaboration and support of a close-knit team.Youll work across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, retail, office, leisure, hotels, and heritage, supporting clients through the full design and delivery process while acting as a trusted advisor on all things CDM and Principal Designer related.This role is ideal for a confident, client-facing consultant from a consultancy background who is looking for more trust, more autonomy, and better work-life balance, without compromising on project quality, technical challenge, or career progression.The Role Youll be responsible for delivering a full range of CDM and Principal Designer services across a varied and high-profile project portfolio.Key duties include:Delivering CDM and Principal Designer services to a wide range of clientsManaging design risk registers and leading design risk reviewsProviding expert advice on Safety in Design throughout project lifecyclesEnsuring pre-construction information is prepared, maintained, and up to dateAttending design team and client meetings to provide practical CDM guidancePreparing Health & Safety files and Construction Phase Plans where requiredCarrying out site inspections and ensuring suitable RAMS are in placeBuilding strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for further growth and repeat businessWhat Were Looking For NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)NEBOSH Diploma (desirable, not essential)Membership of IOSH , APS , IIRSM , or similar professional bodyAPS 2-Day Principal Designer Course (or equivalent qualification)Strong working knowledge of the 2015 CDM RegulationsGood understanding of the Building Safety Act and its impact on the industryExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA confident, professional, and solutions-focused approachPackage & Benefits Salary of £45,000 £55,000 (depending on experience)Annual bonus schemeFully remote working environmentTravel and mileage expenses covered26 days annual leave + 8 bank holidaysCompany pension schemePrivate healthcareExcellent CPD, training, and ongoing supportProfessional membership fees paidClear progression pathway with genuine career development opportunitiesInclusive, supportive company culture with regular team events and away daysInterested?
