Floor Layer

We are seeking an experienced Floor Layer to join a well-established housing association on a long-term self-employed contract, delivering responsive repairs and planned maintenance across social housing properties in Norwich and the surrounding areas. This is a specialist role requiring a strong background in cap and cove flooring alongside basic plumbing experience. Working within occupied properties, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs while providing excellent customer service to tenants. This role may also suit professionals currently working in, or ready to step into, the following positions: Floor Layer, Vinyl Floor Layer, Flooring Installer, Multi Trade Operative (Flooring Bias), Multi Skilled Operative, Multi Trade Plumber or Wetroom Fitter. Key Responsibilities: Install, repair and maintain cap and cove flooring. Complete all associated floor preparation works. Carry out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance. Undertake planned and reactive maintenance within occupied social housing properties. Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Deliver excellent customer service while working in tenants' homes. Manage your own workload and work independently across a designated patch. Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards and client expectations.About You: We're looking for an experienced Floor Layer with plumbing knowledge and a proven track record within the social housing or repairs and maintenance sector. You'll have: Proven experience installing and repairing cap and cove flooring. Previous plumbing experience. Experience working within social housing, responsive repairs or planned maintenance (desirable). The ability to work independently and manage your own workload. A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.Qualifications: Formal qualifications such as NVQs or City & Guilds are not essential.
