Opportunity Details

Requirements
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Movement Disorders
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan
  • Completion of fellowship training in Movement Disorders is mandatory
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing conditions such as Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and other movement disorders
  • Preferred experience with botulinum toxin injections and deep brain stimulation (DBS) programming
  • Commitment to patient-centered, multidisciplinary care
Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Conducting outpatient evaluations and treatments for patients with various movement disorders
  • Collaborating with neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists, and other subspecialists to ensure comprehensive care
  • Administering botulinum toxin injections and performing DBS programming as clinically indicated
  • Participating in interdisciplinary care meetings and contributing to clinical program development
  • Educating patients and their families about disease progression and available treatment options
  • Engaging in teaching, quality improvement, or research activities as desired
