Physician - Medical Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine - West Michigan

Our organization is in search of a passionate and seasoned Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Medical Director to spearhead our Regional Maternal Fetal Medicine team based in West Michigan.
The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in providing physician leadership and oversight for our Maternal Fetal Medicine Service Line. This position involves close collaboration with our Administrative & Clinical Director for Women’s & Children’s Services in a dyad partnership, alongside our OB/GYN Medical Directors for Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore. This leadership opportunity allows you to influence and elevate our Maternal Fetal program within a mission-focused organization committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Direct and manage the Maternal Fetal Medicine service line, ensuring exceptional care for complex maternal fetal cases.
- Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered services for individuals facing high-risk pregnancies, including diagnostic, consultative, and management support, while collaborating closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure seamless care.
- Program Development: Work alongside other administrative and clinical leaders to enhance and expand our Maternal Fetal Medicine program. The Medical Director will be accountable for the performance of designated offices and programs in the West Michigan area, focusing on Quality, Service Excellence, Colleague Engagement, Stewardship, and financial objectives.
- Education and Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to medical students and residents.

Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine practice.
- Preferred: At least 2 years in a leadership role or completion of relevant training for this position.
- Physicians must be board certified in their specialty or board eligible, with a commitment to achieving board certification within 2 years of eligibility.
- A valid State of Michigan license is required upon employment.
- DEA license is necessary.
- ACLS & BLS certification is required.
