Project Manager / Estimator

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator to oversee roofing and construction projects from bid through completion. This role is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, managing project schedules and budgets, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Perform material takeoffs and quantify labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids.
  • Prepare and submit competitive project proposals and bid packages.
  • Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
  • Assist with contract review and project handoff upon award.
  • Manage roofing and construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Develop project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and inspectors.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, change orders, and profitability.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and project progress.
  • Resolve project issues, delays, and customer concerns proactively.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and project files.
  • Lead project meetings and provide status updates to clients and company leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with operations, accounting, and field personnel to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare project forecasts and communicate scheduling updates.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, estimating, roofing, or commercial/residential construction.
  • Strong understanding of roofing systems, construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Experience preparing estimates, takeoffs, and project budgets.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience with roofing projects including TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, tile, and composition roofing systems.
  • Knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety practices.
  • Construction Management, Engineering, or related education preferred.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $39.00 per hour
