About the Opportunity
We're seeking an Customer Service / Collections Specialist to join a growing Long-Term Care Pharmacy organization in East Syracuse, NY. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, resolving account issues, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
While healthcare or pharmacy collections experience is a plus, we're excited to consider candidates with collections or accounts receivable experience from a variety of industries.
Schedule
Monday-Friday
8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Occasional availability is required when the 2nd of the month falls on a weekend to assist with month-end processing.
If a weekend day is worked, you'll receive a weekday off in exchange.
Responsibilities
Contact customers regarding past-due balances and delinquent accounts.
Maintain consistent follow-up with customers until accounts are resolved.
Negotiate payment arrangements and assist with account resolution.
Research account discrepancies and perform account audits to ensure billing accuracy.
Provide invoices, account documentation, and supporting records upon request.
Document all customer interactions, payments, and account activity accurately.
Identify and resolve billing errors and account discrepancies.
Assist with month-end reporting and collections workflows.
Create and maintain spreadsheets to track collection efforts and account status.
Prepare accounts for attorney referral when necessary.
Support additional accounts receivable and administrative projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Previous collections, accounts receivable, or high-volume outbound calling experience
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable speaking with customers regarding outstanding balances
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Healthcare, pharmacy, or medical billing/collections experience
Experience working with spreadsheets and reporting tools
